My father was interested in photography, so my own interest was cultivated in early adulthood. Unfortunately, college, family, and a career in nursing pushed that interest to the back burner for a number of years. Ten years ago, after my first trip to Africa, I renewed my early interest in photography and it has grown to a passion. Vacations now center on my favorite wildlife and landscape subjects often taking me to distant places. All places African intrigue and inspire me, and I travel there as often as possible. I have always had a hopeless wanderlust, and photography allows me the opportunity to attempt to sate my ever growing thirst for exploration of other lands, other cultures, and amazing animals and birds.
Not willing to give up my nursing career, I remain a full-time RN working in a busy Intensive Care Unit. Days off, rain or shine, find me in the natural world camera always at the ready.
I hope to one day share my knowledge while conducting both local and international photographic workshops.
